Reflections of my journey into the world of entrepreneurship
Let me introduce myself…
My name is Yanssy and I am from Connecticut, but currently live in South Carolina. I have two wonderful children. I’m a single mom and work as a full-time nurse. Some of my hobbies include baking, painting, hiking, and road trips. I am an online student of Brigham Young University in Idaho and very excited about this semester and learning about entrepreneurship. As a student I am ready to put in more effort to educate myself. Also ready to learn more about myself and what I’m capable of doing. I hope that this opportunity of learning will help me gain the experience needed for growth and become successful in wherever this journey takes me.
I am writing this blog to document my journey and reflections on learning about the world of entrepreneurship. But also writing this as a mother, worker, friend, student and human being. I will be sharing about life experiences and reflections of what I have learned about wherever this journey has taken me. Hopefully it will end by starting the next chapter of my life as better version of myself.
My plans are to form connections with other people. Learn and share about experiences in our lives about work, education and life itself. By doing this we can all view everything we talk about from other people’s perspective. I feel by doing that we can learn, grow and educate ourselves more.
Reflecting on the past week
From what I have learned this week, I feel that by entering into this world of entrepreneurship it will help me understand what matters most. I will learn about life lessons, have a better mindset and focus on the goals I need to accomplish. If I learn this, I will have a chance to be a successful entrepreneur.
I’ve been pondering alot lately about my life and all the choices I have made, good and bad. I think about it alot. And for a moment I wished I didn’t make any bad choices, but this is how we all learn, grow and develop ourselves as who we are today. We develop into who we are meant to be if we take that challenge to learn from our mistakes by putting that effort we need to become better.
This week I learned a lot. I pondered about my past experiences and where they’ve taken me. I learned about choosing not to be offended about any type of criticism, judgement, or any offense. Choosing to be offended will only distract or stop me from growing, having a clear vision of what I need, but mostly who I want to become. These are my thoughts for now. I hope that for my next blog, I will be able to share more of what I have learned throughout the week.
